Fire! Fire! Ruthless Fire.

Fire! Fire! Ruthless fire...

Oh you ferocious flame.

May you be proud of yourself.

"Man-made"...

"Nature's balance"... whatever...

Earth's beauty devoured.

Lives of helpless creatures

at your mercy.

It is wrong to destroy all that is

loved and cherished by many.

Low thy flames to nil,

preserve what lives remain.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is a tribute to all the fires that have destroyed earth, past, present and future.
Came to me as I went outside my house and could see and smell the smoke from the "Big Cypress and "Golden Gate" fires.
