In Tall Grass

I wasn’t feeling quite sad

just in need of some time

in that warm spring sun.

In that green, green meadow,

just south of the tall grass

in the crook of the brook.

Cool water and tangled weeds,

a pressive need to relieve,

striking that gentle stance

and glancing down to see

a butterfly landed on my pecker.

A stretch, a flutter, fly away

slipping north to south.

Once, twice, again

as it meanders west.

There’s no better place to be

than in this chance to see

a butterfly while I pee.
