Dear Jesus,

Momma says your Daddy's name is God.

Maybe when I come to see you in heaven,

I can meet him.

I don't think you want to meet my Daddy,

he is mean, and he hits Mommy.

I don't love him.

Can your Daddy be my Daddy too?

Momma says he is a good Daddy.

I would love him.

Momma said that when I have a bad dream,

I can sleep in your Daddy's lap,

and he will wipe away all my tears.

One of the most moving and
touching poems I have ever
read...

This heart-felt letter to
Jesus surely defines that
search for meaning by all
those who find it hard to
imagine God's Heavenl-Fatherly
love when this love does not
exist in their earthly - flesh
and blood dadddy...

What a piece of thoughtful
beauty - a peaceful sweetness
in its bitter experience!

Thank God fer a "real" dad huh. People keep windin' up wid humans and that can be tragic, if we wouldnt learn so much from it. lol
