One Year Tear

Folder:
My Favorite Poems

Here I lay, a year from the date

When I was told to just wait

The fear must still remain

Along with my greatest year pain

I celebrate our love

And try to stay above

All those who might say

There would never come a day

When the fear would be no more

And our love you'd adore

I lay here, writing on a line

As the time hit 5:59

My stomach is empty

Wishing your fear was just tea

Your fear consumed my pride

A long time ago my hope died

My greatest of sorrows

As the days turn to morrows

Is that your love for me this year

Never surpassed your fear...
