There was a beautiful mermaid
in the lonely dark blue sea .
she was hoping and praying for
her land prince to come to the
sea and steal her heart and to
look at her they would fall in
love and then he would take her far
away then she would become human .
and she would no longer be a fish
of the sea she would leave her family
and freinds behind she would forfill
all of his every needs. no longer of the
sea she was willing to give it all up.
to be with her prince even if she didnt
have that much of a speaking voice it
would be her choice in the later end .
ive dreamed of myself as a mermaid it
is lovely but it isnt all what it is all
cracked up to be.thank god im not ariel ,
who actully knows how long would it take
for me actully to find my land prince ?
probaly several years and the truth is
about me is i know i would be a pretty
mermaid with long black wavy hair with
colorful seashells at each and every side
my deep brown beautiful round eyes and
my green scaly fins run down to my tail
it was so amazing of me touching all of
those cool sandy beaches .as the wind
blows in my hair as i sit there on the
dark rocks dreaming of my land prince .
thank god i was only a dream i can wake
up now and laugh about it sooner or later.
* this poem is all mine *
This is such a lovely dream.
It brought a smile to my face.
A joy! ;)

I really like this, i love the use of mythical creatures in poems, it gives a surreal, magical feel. The contrast between the magic of the dream and the reality that we should be happy with what we have is great! keep writing! Laura : )
Gail,
Great imagery, wild simili :). I have always beieved in mermaids and sirens, but I would not fullfill the category of either. Love will surprise when you least expect, so chill and enjoy, Love peace and freedom, Linda
There is nothing more beautiful than the dream of being a character in a fairy tale. Dreaming is priviledge, we as God's own certainy share.
