"Twilla"

by Jeph Johnson

Smiling with your warmth
Against a winter's night
Kind of like a candle's light
That romances ignite to
Warming with your smile
So well my heart melts
You excel like bright pastels
So colorful they're felt
Your soft and gentle laugh
It quells this cynic's heart
Almost starts to tear apart
The memories I guard
Your laughing gentleness
Makes light my misery
Like a bouquet, a brilliant array
Of elegant potpourri
