Don’t let it be you,

to break my heart,

make me cry,

or tear me apart.

Don’t let it be you,

that breaks us down.

If we go through turbulent times,

don’t crash us to the ground.

Don’t let it be you,

please, just look and you’ll see.

I want it to be me so I can die,

knowing you still love me.

Author's Notes/Comments: 

I wrote this on 5-23-02. What I was trying to say with this one is I wouldn't want it to be the other person that breaks it off between us if we were going through a hard time, I would want it to be me so that I would know the other person still loved me in the end.

Just to let you know you have a typo.... "sill" >>> "still" and what you said is actually kind of selfish...
