Born

Improv 2002

You were born into this world,

so small,

so fragile.

Shaking and shivering.

I watch you.

I want to hold you,

and kiss you.

I see your painful tremors,

and wish this hadn’t happened to you.

So sweet,

so innocent,

only a child.

You were born into this world,

unlike most babies.

You were born with an addiction,

like your mothers.

You were born in pain,

and remained in pain,

until the drugs wore off.

I look into your eyes,

and feel the pain in your soul.

Wishing I could just pick you up,

and take you home.

But I don’t have the power.

You were born into this world,

small,

fragile,

and beautiful.

WOW! Way cool. Very powerful message. You seemed to start off one way then head in a whole different direction. Cool.
Keep writing. Britterz
