The only place I wish to be,

is with you by your side.

But at times I crawl up in the corner,

with no real reason to hide.

Sometimes I wish I could escape,

run away and just be free.

But what stops me is remembering,

the love you have for me.

~

You're the reason I'm alive,

you saved me from my enemy.

But you had yet to realize,

that enemy was me.

~

You saved me from myself.

I almost took my life.

I was ready to leave this world,

and all its pain and strife.

~

But you saved me with your love.

You told me that you care.

And even though you're far away,

that you will always be there.

~

I'll give you my whole heart,

I'll give you all of me.

We'll be together in the future,

but who knows when that will be.

~

The future is here,

the future is now,

and I'd give anything to be with you,

someway,. somehow.

~

So with these words I say,

I'll add one more thing so true.

Not much just three words.

And those three words are I love you.
