Your love is in my heart,

protecting it like a shield,

from the bullets of pain,

inflicted on my body each day.

I don't know how you do it,

but somehow,

through it all,

you were always there for me.

We shared so much together,

in such a short time.

You just always seemed to be there,

to sweep me off my feet,

to the safety of your arms.

I was mesmerized by your eyes.

They were like a fire.

A fire that would surround me.

And as I was engulfed by that fire,

it was like the warmth of your love.

Forever burning in your eyes,

I will always be surrounded,

by your love.
