Morning Dew

Droplets of morning dew,

dance upon grass blades.

As the sunrise that once lit the sky,

slowly starts to fade.

~

Morning is almost over,

and afternoon will soon come.

We will sit on the beach,

and soak up some rays of sun.

~

The morning dew is gone,

each droplet gone away.

Since the sun has risen higher,

to brighten the mid day.

~

The afternoon is calling,

upon the midnight sky.

Because the sun will soon set,

to rest its luminous eyes.

~

Night falls upon the earth,

the stars slowly creeping out.

They twinkle in the midnight breeze,

sprinkling stardust all about.

~

Each day that goes by,

is different in every way.

From the way the sun rises,

to the way it hides away.

~

When the day is done,

and darkness sets the sky.

The sun will bid farewell,

and tell the world good bye

~

I’m lucky to be alive,

each passing day.

Each different one I love,

in so many different ways.

~

But one day I’ll be gone,

this we all do know.

Because everyone must leave,

yes everyone must go.

~

Just keep my words near,

and please never forget.

The morning dew dancing,

and the sun that sets.
