I met you

On a rainy cold morning in St.Cloud

Your whole face glowed and caught my eye

Before you even walked in the door

With one glance in your direction,

I saw your dreams

Your hopes

Your past.

And the hurt that had been stored up.

For awhile we were silent

And then began to talk

And I discovered that you were the one

The one I had been searching for all my life

Even though I barely met you

Hours ago on this cold morning

I felt an instant connection

The moment I looked into your eyes

For I saw only pure beauty

No hidden thoughts or lies

But as the cruel fates would have it

We would not meet again

You were leaving at 1:40

On a bus I'd traveled before

I ran and ran to catch you

Just for a glimpse once more

    But you were gone.

And along with your soul , you took my love

Leaving another scar upon my heart

At least now I know you exsist

And I know who my one would have been

With this feeling inside, now I know you're alive

Since I met you that cold St.Cloud morning.
