Long days going by slowly
So predictably alone
Not a call, not a letter
Nobody is home
She cries on Jesus’ shoulder
No one else will hold her
Busy lives pass by
Forgetting her in their thoughts
They don’t mean to
She knows they just forgot
She cries on Jesus’ shoulder
No one else will hold her
Branching out to find something
Something different, something new
No satisfaction in what she’s found
No energy to pursue
She cries on Jesus’ shoulder
No one else will hold her
She cries out to God
Begging, praying for a friend
In this time of solitude
And she finds the one He sent
She cries on Jesus’ shoulder
No one else will hold her
when all are gone, you gave plenty of time to lokk into His refreshing eyes, and at least one friend will support you (in prayer and emails only),that is, me
wow, this is amazing... so deep and so true. I can relate completely with this...as I have recently lost one of my best friends... I learned through it all, that Jesus will never leave me, never reject me or desert me. He is always with me..
Beautiful poem.
