It’s so hard to let go

Of the love I possess inside

It’s hard not to let it show

But for you, my pain will hide



I love you right now

But tomorrow I will give up

Just one more day, I will allow

And then I’ll dismiss this love



No more “I love you’s”

Or blank stares into your eyes

No more trying to hold your hand

Or letting you hold me when I cry



No more dreaming of you

For, I won’t sleep at all again

No more crying induced by you

I’ll just be your friend



No more letting you hold my heart

When I’m holding you on a pedestal

No more being torn apart

Or riding this never-ending carrousel



Yeah I’ll love you, my friend

Best friend I’ve ever had

No more broken hearted pain

No more being helplessly sad



Just give me today to gather my heart

The broken pieces on the ground

To revive its breath, to pump its blood

From the tears in which it’s drowned
