Color Blind

Folder:
Love

Through these hazel eyes of mine

You’re all that I can see

To the rest of the world I am blind

But images of you irradiate clearly

My world was set in tones of gray

Tinted in black and white

But you took the dullest layer away

And on it you shed the light

For the first time I’m seeing in color

I see the sun shine through the clouds

You make my life so much fuller

Quieting my mind from busy sounds

The blurred vision I once had

You fixed with just one glance

My world is no longer painted sad

You put me in a resplendent trance

The gray is gone, the black and white has ceased

Covered in fields of colorful light

You turned my dark world I used to see

And for once you made it bright
