My heart’s in so much pain

My thoughts are always troubled

I thought no more hurt I could gain

Suddenly my heartache doubled



My tears never seem to cease

My prayers fade away

My feelings can not release

The pain I feel today



I just can’t bear the heartache

That’s going on inside

Oh, what will it take

Before mind and heart collide



They say being loved is such a splendor

And at first I guess it is

But when it hit’s a heart like mine so tender

What happens is exactly this



The mind just loses control

Feelings begin to shake

The heart takes over the soul

And it all ends up in heartache



The one who used to be a friend to me

He turned so quickly away

Seems now he’s become the enemy

But loved me the other day



Can’t you see I’m so confused?

Why can’t you just be my friend?

Either way, I guess I lose

Because I’ve won heartache in the end
