Keeping her from Death
As she lay there the coldness seemed to absorb her.
Those icy tendrils wrapping around her completely.
And as for the darkness...It was absolute.
He could not wake her but...
he sensed she tried to awaken
Her still silent struggle
She was plauged by nightmares
All those dark images
Yet she stayed so deathly still
He despaired watching her
His mind buzzing with questions
Slowly he began to sing to her
"Please don't fade away
I stay with you night and day
Wishing and will that soon
You will wake
I'm scared as i'm watching
Every struggled breath you take
You are my one love
Please oh don't die.
When i said i loved you
Well it wasn't a lie
Wake up for me
Your so dear to thee"
She heard his song
Felt concious tugging at her mind
Those cold tendrill's began to unwind
The darkness lifted
At last she was awake
He'd done everything it would take
And at last he'd won his battle
