Ink Eyes

Karyn Indursky

Poetry look at me with thine ink eyes

to write a story of our love tribulations

of where my muse likes to sing in black skies

as my hand flies across paper stations

Poetry flutter eyelashes at me

to quilt of a poem of thou memories

with pen needles sewing fabrics from thee

heart strum lines that will hopefullky carry

Poetry let your eyes twinkle at me

as I explore imagery of nature

with my hand writing away as you see

as mysteries unravel creatures

So long as thy poetry looks my way

forever in my heart will writing stay

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."
