Your Ocean Or Thine?

Let me be your ocean

to pour your poetric depth

into a vase

holding your flower.

Let me be your ocean

to rivet waves of poetry

dripping into a

waterfall of imaginations.

Let me be your ocean

to cup my hands together

to catch your poetry's emotions

and wash my face in.

Let me be your ocean

to hold your poetry

dear to my damn

blocking your haters

and letting in admirers.

I love it.   let me be the

I love it.

let me be the words that flow,

Like water down a fall,

Let me taste each dewdrop

That arrives upon thine wall,

I'll bathe myself in all thine words,

Under a starlit sky,

I'll pass by every subtle twinge

And shelter every sigh.

I'd pluck a pocketful of sunshine,

For every handful of word salad,

Then eat your words like a bon bon,

And I'd share with you a carrot.

And when the water all ran dry,

The watering hole bereft,

I'll muster up the good parts

Of all the feelings that you left!

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "
