Swing-Dancing At Dawn
Karyn Indursky
Lovely like a rose your poetry speaks
not from a recycling bin, but hearts
beating the rhythm of the lines peaking
their little buds blossoming thee artwork.
Soft like a tulip your poetry sings
not from a bucket of used goods, but
from origins of writer's hands springing
creativity from pink pens strutting.
Gentle like sunflowers poetry holds
opening arms hugging Mother Nature while
gingerly sculpting it with thou word molds
adding in personality and style.
So long as the sun swing-dances at dawn
poetry's footprints will forever live on.
Long live poetry long live p-eyes long live postpoems
