Butterfly Fly Thy Sonnet
Karyn Indursky
Thy poetry is a soaring butterfly
gracing thee lyrics with ease and splendor.
Like a quill pen poetry drips thy ink
upon my page to explore narratives
with dainty play on words growing soft pink
as butterfly guides imperatively.
Doodling imagery with pure emotion
flaps across pages of memories bliss
with many choices causing commotion
until thee spreads her wings into abyss
Intrepretations begin to flutter
without right or wrong answers to counter
where thy narrative shall give a mutter
for which perspective thou shall encounter.
Enjoyed your sonnet to

sonnet's have a few rules: 14 lines, abab, cdcd, efef, gg and 10 meter per line. Although you can switch it to ab cdcd efef ghgh. It's challenging to write a sonnet, but well worth it. I like mixing a little bit of modern with a splash of Old English. My poems show that versility. It's the people who truly enjoy reading, writing, exploring and learning poetry...the true fans...that encourage us to keep writing and sharing.
