Gone-A-Tapping
Karyn Indursky
Your words spoke me
making my fingers
begin to go a tapping
like a keyboard dance.
Your comments jiggled
my ideas until their feet
began to find a beat.
Your perceptions graced
my poem went deep
until vocal chords
belted out lyrics.
Your praise went
to a standing ovation
and together we
began to form a chorus.
Your eyes began a siren
of a writer's passion
until our little poem ditty
had it's own background dancers.
Your fingers went snapping
to our poetry and together
we created a harmonic tone
as we blended transitions.
Your mouth went a low hum
when we had collaborated
a remarkable piece
and we marked it...
done.
