Stand With Friendship

When words are flung

with vicious rumors

dripping with lies

stand by your friends.

When recognition is hung

around your friends neck 

like an amulet 

stand by friends. 

When assumptions are made 

irrationally whether it's jealousy or misinterpretations

stand by your friends. 

When your friends are awarded 

give them credit with your 

supportive words while you

stand by your friends. 

When your friends confide in you 

listen with your heart 

while your ears comprehend 

and no matter what

stand by your friends. 

When your friends have haters 

show them you have thick skin 

and can handle the burns 

while you show your character by

standing by your friends. 

When your friends value 

the depth of your true colors 

hug them tenderly as together 

you stand with friendship.
