Special friends
have captured
my heart
in various ways.
They're the people
I turn to for
an earful of insight
or that comforting smile
or that hug,
which seems to make the world just fine,
or those ears,
which know just when to listen,
or advice
or...
just anything.
These are the people
I yearn to help,
be there for,
etc.
Friends are there
when I want or need them,
even if I don't realize it at the time.
God
must have
given them to me
because they are truly
blessings in human bodies,
but, to keep things simple,
I can merely call them my "Friends."
