Bash Her

She said I bashed her triumphantly,

As I was lying down next to she,

Yes I did pummel and cryed relief,

From this shadowed black widow thief,

That bestalled the recovery of my man,

In the sistyer I understand,

Who has in meantimes her innards ripped,

That so the widow on me trip.

And morrie the style to get her there,

My heart it seldom wants the pare,

But I must grasp the passing peach,

To keep the pear quite out of reach.

Athalia Lystra's picture

This reads and looks like a sonnet… now, that was probably not your intent.

Nevertheless, the playful rhyme here gives the piece great rhythm. The images bounce off the page as one reads them in parallel to their rhyming couplets.

Written beautifully, although the story's sad.
