I sit alone in my chair
I draw pictures
And dream of things I can't have
My mind once wandered away
Then my body strayed
These foolish desires destroyed my life
I lost my wife
She doesn't love me anymore
Now she's cold and distant
I can't reach her, I can't touch her
She no longer wants me
I can't turn back the hands of time
I can't correct the wrong I've done
I can't erase the pain I've caused
I can't hold her in my arms
She doesn't love me anymore
I sit alone in my chair
I draw pictures
And dream of things I can't have
I realize my eyes are crying
As tear drops fall on my paper
The picture I draw tonight
Is a picture of my wife
Social conventions made me think of the persona as a female, as i was reading the first few lines, till i got to the middle.
