I see a baby in its Mother's arms
Happy today, loving
But what does tomorrow hold
That warm smile will fade
But what will take its place
A time will come, it will all be ended
A hell you never dreamed of will take you in
You wonder, you can't seem to understand
You ask why, but no one will answer
My child you have sinned
Speak to me now I will listen
Lovely lady of sorrow
A pretty face, but a mind so shallow
You never even saw beyond your dreams
An evoking poem, Tricia....interlaced with bittersweet musing and mulling. Quite powerful too, the tone of voice...right from the first stanza's opening lines. Indeed, a child's mind , at this time , must be confused by the turn of such a global calamity now. coincidentally, i wrote a poem last week, Bless The Beasts And Children...partly inspired by the song by The Carpenters, and also, by the events around us now. Perhaps, i shall show u one day,.~ ;)
Yes, Tricia, tomorrow holds nothing but heartache for so many people. But, I can only hold my faith in God that we will all be in front of Him one day to repent our sins. I KNOW there will be a lot of people there on bended knee then. I only hope I have the Grace of God to be able to forgive what they have done here on Earth, too. I am having a hard time with the things I see being done to the children. But, I Still Believe, like I have a poem titled. Keep the faith. Linda
