nice short one. i like all the titles of yours...and you write concise, kinda like i do. i usually don't read the really long poems. they lose my attention...and i like to imagine, not have it all painted for me. have a great day! v.
This is a real jewel, Tricia. I finally get to read more poetry and am blessed by finding this. Thanks for being there and for your lovely work.

Hi Tricia, I have indulged in your zesty onion, and after peeling the layers have discovered sweetness at its core. May all your tears be as productive as those that begat this poem. Thanks for critiquing some of my poetry. F. Salphire

Maybe tears and onions have more in common than I thought. The one can cause the other and both have a very profound result. Both give flavour to our dull every day lives one to our food and one to our emotions. What a clever obeservation and what a super inspiration to write a poem about this.

Ain't it the truth??? A hamburger is just not a hamburger, without a GREAT Vidalia onion on it. And a rainy day full of the blues in just not right without a good cry. Linda

This is one of my favorites. It is simple without being simplistic and raises a profound question about the role of sorrow in defining life.
