A Married Man

Memories of a warm beautiful person

And of a love affair

I wish I were twins, he said to me

One of me to love you

And one of me for her

With a battle raging in his heart

He knew what he must do

He held me close as my tears began to flow

Though my heart now broken

These words I softly whispered

I wish you were twins, I said to him

One of you to love me

And one of you for her
