2011 Poetry Thoughts of the Day
A magical door to journey through,
lay under the shade of my favorite tree.
It took me to wondrous realms
filled with adventure and friends.
Never was I dissatisfied with my voyages
or flights into the darkness of space.
Roaming with prehistoric creatures
or under the canopy of a rain forest.
Then one day as I was growing older
it was gone, pushed aside by
other thoughts of the day.
