Autumn whispers in the wind
as the nights begin to chill.
Trees turning with frosted colors
as leaves begin to float to earth.
Another season’s upon us now,
all coming too quickly these days.
Funny as we get older,
we get the quarterly rush
to the end of our days.
Just makes me appreciate
the time we have
while relishing life’s gifts.
Hopefully there will be many more,
but if not, the seasons haven’t been lost.
I’ve consumed them all
while placing them in my soul,
to bring with me when the time comes
to take that final journey.
Autumn, a beautiful season.
Autumn, a beautiful poem.
Enjoyed it very much.
