Eyes of Tears

Folder:
2009 Poetry

Eyes of tears stare while piercing through my heart,

a burned and empty soul looking for help.

Wisdom of life she hopes I can impart,

before she shreds into torn bloody pulp.

Holding her close I can feel her shaking,

as I try to comfort her in this state.

I know inside she is deeply aching,

as I try to relieve this burdened weight.

One day she may not take things so deeply,

clearly seeing them in the brightened light.

Then she won’t have to bear them so steeply,

thus not crushing her self-esteem so slight.

If only I could breath strength in her soul,

it would be then I could fulfill this role.

You probably did fulfill
the role. Sometimes just
the touch of someone is
enough. Being there.Very
nice poem.

I don't know if I should cry or just sigh, unbearable pain indeed...this is so touching and sad, but sometimes, being near and just being there, can heal a broken spirit, and even a broken heart.
