Victoria Falls

Cracks and gorges,

a thunderous roar,

water falling to the chasm floor.

Victoria Falls a mile long wall,

flowing water, wide and tall.

Viewed from a plateau

not very far,

water crashing

from where you are.

Mosi-oa-Tunya

is what it was called,

mist rising high,

looking like it would scald.

Thus translated to

“the smoke that thunders”,

it’s one of Africa’s

greatest wonders.
