Old Age

2002 Poetry

Old age is like a carrion

With forces picking away

Slowly sapping your strength

Making you weaker day by day

Grit your teeth and bear it

Don't let it get you down

You are better off than you think

Your sorrows can't make you drown

Do what you can about it

Don't let it get to you

Go on and live your life

Before it's time to say adieu

Author's Notes/Comments:
