What I Can't Have

It is going to happen

Whether I want it to or not

She is not going to be here

In the flesh

I can never hold her in my arms

Only in my heart

I'll never see her beauty

Just only in my mind

Her death-marked body

Will never run in my hallway

And her cherished laughter

Will never reach her mother's ears

Her soul is eternally peaceful

I know that's all that matters

I sense the angels are waiting

For our OWN angel to be born

In the form of a little girl

Whose body can not keep up

A beautiful little angel

That I can never know
