Rays burn their way through
Clouds that stand in my way
A hole left in the gray mass
Yet a hole filled in strikingly fast
That was there before
Leaving me empty, something without
But that all changed
When the morning sun came out
Rays dried up the rain
That had been pouring all my life
Flash floods that had ruined things
Left behind only disaster and strife
The good things had drowned
Bad things had been plentifully fed
Leaving my life a living hell
My mind and soul left me for dead
Now that's gone
Hopefully for good
I hope the sun shines forever
It'll be one of the things I could
Endure for a long time
A time longer than I need
But if the sun lasts
My life will no longer bleed
The blood as before
And it'll all be because of the sunshine...
What more could I ask for
