If I were…

If I were a bat
I’d sleep hanging in the air
The world would pass me by
And I wouldn’t even care
If I were a bear
I’d sleep half of the year
I wouldn’t care what’s in front of me
Or what’s behind my rear
If I were a fish
I wouldn’t sleep at all
Or I’d get caught
And be served in a food court mall
But if I were another animal
I’d choose to be a cow
I’d eat chocolate to flavor my milk
And wouldn’t be sleepy now
Or if I were all the animals
In the world combined
I’d look like an alien monster
But wouldn’t have a mind
Be happy for who you are
Don’t ever change
If you wished to be something else
You could end up strange
