If I Could Remember

If I Could Remember

If I could remember

Every pretty girl I’ve seen

I’d scan the images in my head

And print them in a magazine

If I could remember

All those faces I adore

I’d settle for the memories

And not look out for more

If I could remember

All the faces that made me feel good

I’d be loyal and committed

Like I know I should

If I could remember

All the faces that made me do a double-take

I’d be focused on the woman I’d be with

Instead of stealing the glances that I’d make

If I could remember

All those beauties with other guys

I wouldn’t look out for even more girls

With my wandering eyes

If I could remember

The hotties from every club and mall

I’d stay home and write poetry about them

And wouldn’t look out for more at all

The fact of the matter is

Even though beauties are comparatively few

I just can’t seem to remember them

And the next day I’m on the look out for the new

Author's Notes/Comments:

You probably thought I was going to write about something nostalgic, but no, it's about beautiful women. I was in the mall again and as usual there were pretty ones. I thought how it's a pity that I I appreciate their beauty so much while I pass them in the hall but I don't actually remember them later on. I live so near Power Plant Mall that I go there to get some walking exercise done and/or do errands nearly everday and the pretty faces are a bonus. To me it just makes the walking more interesting compared to walking in the village where it's all dogs and maids sweeping the sidewalks.
