MUCKING AROUND

MUCKING AROUND

Put yourself in your shoes,

So comfortable and carefree you are; and

Carefulness is the watch word you bank with!

And you’re as tough as old boots.

Not so caring as you should be;

Playing the fool, and letting others down;

And self-happiness is the foreword that

You seem to utter, as it’s you!

Put yourself in someone else shoes!

Oh, you look the other way round!

All that you look at, seem to appear a bit dark!

And you think ‘moving out of harm’s way’ is the only choice!

Situations go topsy-turvy;

No matter what the damn promises are!

No matter what the ill-logical ideology is!

You grant no quarters even to the one you love!

Poor thing! You seem to care no hoots!

As your deafened ears hear no plea;

You put others’ lives at stakes

And muck around a lot!

Author's Notes/Comments:

When it's you, it matters the most; but when it comes to others, especially the one you love you seem to have deafened ears and you hear no plead. No matter, what your idiology is or your promises are, you poo-poo everything and put others' lives at stakes.
