FORBIDDEN FRUITS?

FORBIDDEN FRUITS?

Forbidden by God and yet devoured by Eve and Adam,

The bizarre act, God couldn’t forgive and henceforth the curse!

Conscience dawned and they ran skelter shelter!

Their nakedness revealed and covered their exposed fruits!

The daring act, a prelude to human kind!

Yet man researches to find what those forbidden fruits are!

It’s nobody’s guess but a think-tanker’s expose,

Of consuming forbidden fruit; is nothing but their sexual intercourse!

The forbidden tree in God’s first garden,

‘The Garden of Eden’, is THE MIDPART; and the forbidden fruits

 Are Adam and Eve’s central physical parts; which the serpent revealed!

They had their first sexual taste, and hence Eve’s labor pain!

 ‘Conscience’ they didn’t need when under God’s control!

As God came to see them and fed them with what they needed!

When tempted, they lost God’s vision and hence the so-called sin!

The curse; the labor pain to all eves at child birth thenceforth; and labour to man.

Driven by God, but allowed permission to stand on his own,

God has given man, an extra sensory protection to save himself;

 ‘Conscience’, he is equipped with, he can avoid sins;

To commune with God and live eternally after Doomsday!

Oh! You mankind, don’t search your fruits anywhere!

It’s in your own garden with God’s assurance!

Don’t search your fruits in the neighboring gardens;

For that will suppress your conscience and make you commit human sins!

I don't know much about the

I don't know much about the Bible, even after 11 years of Catholic upbringing. To myself, it is a wonderful book, but a book like many others, written by men of that day, through their eyes and their perception. I like the poem because it raises this subject of 'moral'. What the reference of 'forbidden fruit' is, I really don't think anyone will ever know. The very word 'forbidden' can mean many different things in many different cultures and areas of modern life, and 'morals' are to me, something for which we judge on an earthly level. 'Time', in it's illusive man made existence, and man's evolution, from my own perspective as I currently understand them, have a great bearing on many of these ancient texts, and too, the religions that interpret them. I am inclined to believe that the creator was inspired by love, and that love and kindness are the essence of all beings and earthly life. With that in mind, it would only make sense to me, that anything that man creates that in not in synchronicity with the earth's divine natural flow and balance would be seen as 'forbidden'....but this but a perspective, same as those who wrote the ancient texts. If you like reading these ancient texts, I would suggest the Nag Hammadi. I have found it to be quite interesting. Nice write as always, Ben. Thank you for sharing your talent.

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "

Reply to comment on the poem 'Forbidden Fruits?'

Yet another soul inspiring comment by you, Nightlight!  As per your comment, I undrstand that you are really good at reading and read a lot of great books.  The way you comment and let others an opportunity to go deeper into the subject guiding them to reference books; Oh, it's great.  I am a Protestant brought up in the Biblical line.  Unfortunately, right from the age of 17, I became an atheist and kept attacking religious principles pronouncing that there was no God!. The next twenty odd years helped me learn a lot of lessons and finally I came to a conclusion that there is some power that guides me from within.  Hence I believe that there is God and so I am not inclined to hurt any religious belief.  I keep my belief about God, quite simple and say to myself that I got to obey my concience doing all that I believe as good and not to listen to others too much unless it's worth listening to.  I happened to record some of my thoughts long time back but kept it closer to my chest without publishing them.  It's  a golden opportunity to bring those concepts out, though controversial; through this platform.  I am ready to remove it on any convincing objection. As this particular concept, fell into my ears some thirty years ago, while having a discussion with a stranger, I thought I could take it.  I just don't know where he got this idea from.  As this concept happened to convince me, I changed it to the poetic form!  As a poem, I suppose people can read it without raising any controversy!  I assure the readers that I am not adverse to any religion. I take all good things from all religions thinking that God, whatever his name is; wants us to love each other and live in peace.
