DAWN TO DUSK

DAWN TO DUSK

(A lovely day)

The rain hath drenched the leaves and sand,

To make them see the place they stand;

Feeling fresh with all its gloom,

Blinking with the eyes they bloom;

Looking for their happy ones

Turn their heads to see the sun.

Like the tear drops, water drips,

Trembling from the place they rest,

Withering all its golden leaves

Waves its arms in modern style.

Little rain drops gather on

Gushing down the place they find;

Lovely colours of flowers around

Laughing at the trees around;

Smiling lilies waves around

Waiting for the sun around.

Gliding slowly up the sky,

Smiling gently all its way,

Looking merrily with its smile

Down it goes in golden style.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Over night rain makes trees plants and flowers wake up from their slumber.  They feel so fresh that they look for the sun.  The sun which is on its usual stroll enjoys the beauty of nature right from dawn to dusk finally goes and falls down the sky. The poet refers to the modern style of nature and the golden  style of sun.
