The Robins and the Crows
Soaring into springtime is a true testament
That spring's slumber has suddenly sprung
With the sightings of the Regal Robins
As Papa chirps his early morning mating song
Mama Busily building a noble nestling for their family to be
Mid Morning sounds echo of heartily hatching baby chicks
Mama and Papa on perpetual patrol
Fiercely firing out alarm calls
As Papa Protectively darts and dives
Driving away potential predators with vigorous valour
A rambunctious ricochet of cackling Caw Caws
Pointedly pierce the tranquil trinity of the day
Fervently foraging in family flocks
On the hunt for a prize of impregnable incubated eggs
Targeting a nestling of frightened fledglings
Deliberately designed use of crudely crass laughter
Deceivingly distracting in their guise
Thwarted in their game of concise chaos
Fleeing frantically for easier pickings
Prevailing in search of recyclable refuse
