A Silent Knowing

Folder:
Spiritual

There is so much
to be found in silence,

everything quiet has its
own life and appears infinite:
a tunnel to the beginning of
all things,
a tiara of knowing

and a love more delicious
than mortals ever knew.

It's 1969 again and I believe
all humans are gods
in the making.

The sea was every god:
wealth and pride
and Victorian clouds,
frilly waves humble at
my feet.

I almost drowned in
those waves,
but I never stopped
believing.

I could get used to
that demented freedom.

Lauded and adored
sanctuary between thoughts,
knowing all this is a
parody of home,
I'm flirting with hope.

Capture me, stallions,
shattering the priceless quiet,
take me to your lord,
your center,
my silence

and I can tour the
sable fits of galaxies
or burrow into the
quantum carnival
twinkling beneath
it all.

In youth you gave
me romance,

now give me life.

Give me everything
and all that is . . .
within.
