A Worship Of Trails
I sing in the middle of a battlefield
where a song chants that love lays
I prefer to feel it as an adventure
as I find myself climbing mountains
laced with the glory of day blossoms
encompassed in magnificent wonders
as twilight surfaces in my ascent.
I ease off into the ocean at night
swimming in blue velvet waves
with my heart drowning by all the beauty
lain before my eyes
I ride billows of sway below a stairway of stars
in search of the lighthouse that beams with your warmth
I fly with the wrap of your wings guiding my soul
to the treasure of us that glistens at the end of the rainbow
Our worship of tenderness within.
I follow trails of your beautiful whispers
soft traces of your precious sighs
staining my heart in jasmine breaths
Eternal echoes swirling in winds of time
capturing each sunrise and midnight run
as your love blankets me beneath a satin moon
Leading me Home to You
again and again
Forever
where I belong
