Before The Beginning







Soft lips tasting mine, kisses swallowing my breath

may I never breathe until I've drowned in your love

We are all we'll know when the last sunset whispers

this love from my soul, beckoning to feel your embrace

'till the end of time when the last verse closes

the chapter of us



Beginning our journey into poetry of love

your breath upon my body painting colors of sighs

where I write your name in me, wrapped in tender,

warm arms around my body as we become one

craving storybook endings in our own ink

scribing "I love you" inside the depths of

poet's of soul



Walk where we whisper in the quiet hush of lips

longing for sighs

reconstructing memories when we were in deep,

the currents of your eyes were my lone salvation

knowing you write my last breath

beginning to end

turning pages of gentle complete

folding warmth one touch at a time.



Forever awaits

beyond the want in our eyes

destiny's calling

us to where our heart belongs,

and it's so good to be home.

This isn't your normal collab, this is a collection of Haiku's

we wrote back and forth to each other in September

of last year {Thus where the title came from}

with a few liberties taken *very few*

for creative purposes...



Dawn is the most amazing writer, as all of you know so well

~smile~ Following along with her in Haiku's wasn't easy, but

I considered it a honor, and I still do... We may not have been in love back then {though I must confess I was

completely taken with her, Oh Hell just admit it Brian, you were falling in love with her even then ~smile~
