Why can't you feel it?

Why can't you understand?

Can't you see I love you so

or don't you want to know?



I open doors and follow you in

pull chairs out

for your beauty to languish in,

beneath the table

I softly stroke your thigh,

everyone can see the love in my eyes



I take your hand

and pull it to my lips

I draw you into my mouth

and lightly suckle your fingertips

the sensations burn with fire,

everyone can see my desire



Out on the floor

I hold you tight in a slow dance

softly nuzzling your neck

as my hands caress your back,

I'm lost in heaven in this romance

You can write it down

its fact



Why is it when I look into your eyes

they are elsewhere?

Why is it I don't see the love I have for you

returning from you to me?

I know you love me

you have to care

but then again

maybe I'm missing the truth completely



I have a feeling I'm the one in love

with nowhere to go,

when I called last night there was no answer

we were supposed to go to the show.

Walking in the rain by our diner

I knew,

looking through the window

there you were,

in the booth with another

with his hands all over you



You would think after so many times

I could walk away

but this love struggles to stay,

no matter how hard I want to go

how much I try

I can't get out,

no matter how long I cry



All you have to do is look into my eyes

and your beauty engulfs me

I'm blinded by love

and can't see

It rushes through me

and drowns my sorrow

I can't see or feel anything,

not even tomorrow



I pick up the phone

and your voice sings in my ear

You tell me

"Honey I love you, can you come over here?"

I can't seem to get over there fast enough

even with what I know.

I love you

and maybe someday,

that same love from you will show.
