Favorite Book
I've read you now, for sometime
quiet moments curled up in your pages
wrapped up in the warmth of your heart
hearing your sweetest whispers,
Chapter after chapter.
I feel I know you
even a little more of myself now,
Seems we share tears
fears
hopes and dreams,
Kindred understanding.
We've walked similar beaches
beneath fallible moons
and broken stars,
Journeyed to mountain tops
where winds have howled epithet's of love
even felt the destiny of a dreamer's requiem
yet both, still in search of heart's hope.
There was a time
I would have liked to know how the book ends,
Think I'll take it slow
page by page
soak you in
let the story unfold
for what it is,
I do love to read.
