Just Friends



You come to me holding out your hand,

as a friend

and if that's all that I can have

I will gladly take your hand

and remain forever,

just friends.



If I never get the chance

to hold you in romance

then I will take the time I have with you

and know in my heart that my love will be,

forever true.



We always go places together

enjoying our time spent with each other

and if it always has to be,

and remain the same

then I will always know that I am the one who has gained,

for I am the one who is forever surrounded by beauty

the one enflamed with love completely.



If that's all that I can have

then I will gladly take your hand

remaining forever,

just friends.
