Seasons In Hell
Early Fall,
a time when leaves turn.
Late Summer,
a time to reflect from the burn.
A chill sets in after the fire
colors fade with the truth of a liar.
Lightning strikes those who run
thunder roars from the blast of a gun
rain drenches those who perspire
storms surround the fear in a liar.
Mid Winter,
a time for snow covered tracks.
False Spring,
one step forward and two steps back.
Cold hard reality sets in when you retire
thoughts of truth from a liar.
Seasons In Hell
embroiled in a lifetime of deceit,
Lying comfortably in the midst of heat.
You never know which way to turn
where to look
what to see,
Or who to believe.
