The Blustering Wind

Swept up in the moment

The gap filled munching

Carrots in the snowstorm

The blustering wind whips against me

Penetrating my cocoon

I feel alive.

One usually thinks of spring

One usually thinks of spring as the most life-affirming season, and yet winter also has its moments when the chill air and snowscapes are comforting, and even refreshing.  Where I live, January is a terrifically cold month, so that few clouds can actually coalesce, giving us some piercingly blue, and exquisitely beautiful, skies.  Your poem called this natural pleasure to my mind, and I thank you for that.
